What do you prefer? Mp3 or Flac?

Hello Folks, just a short question and i want asking you to give me a short comment which format do you prefer for the postings. I'm personally like Flac very much for different reasons. But it's for me more important what you like, because you are the users who have to handle it. For that reason once again my asking: please give a short comment about your preferred format. That's all i need from you :-)
Cheers

  1. Mp3! Just give me a good bitrate mp3 every time. I don't have to convert them; they use up less space and are faster to download.

  4. Hello,

Before answering your demand, a great big thank for all the nice posts .
For the choice between FLAC and MP3, using a Mac, FLAC is not recognize.
But it's very easy to convert FLAC...So for me the more easier for you is good for me....
    Thanks again

    Best wishes

  6. I prefer mp3 as I don't have to convert it for other uses, but flac is fine.

Great Blog by the way, an eclectic mix of some of my favorite music.
Also a few things that I wasn't familiar with.
Now if I just had more time to listen to all this stuff!

  7. I prefer FLAC 100% of the time. The sound is so much better than MP3.

  8. I prefer mp3 due to it taking up less space, but I will not complain if others prefer flac.

    Thanks,

  12. I also appreciate and prefer FLAC but I don't mind 320 if it's something hard to come by. Right now you seem to have a bit of both and that works just fine for me. Thanks for your work.

  14. I prefer Flac, if available. but both are fine as it is. Flac preferred especially R.E classics of a genre such as Big Star.

  15. FLAC 100%. It's possible to convert down to 320k for anyone who wants to but not up from 320k to FLAC. So everyone has the choice to get exactly which bitrate they want.
    Thanks for the BLOG BTW.

  16. Hi,
    first, thanks for your blog
flac is technally better than mp3 and we can easily convert flac to mp3.
In despite of previous comments, convert mp3 to flac is effectively possible, bit with a very poor flac quality !!!
So to summarize flac is always better.
But let's do as you want, flac or mp3 :-)
    Regards and Thanks again

  17. I prefer 320 mp3. I always convert the flac files immediately. I can hear no difference, so why spent so much discspace to something I don't need.
By the way: that converting is time consuming and annoying.
    So, 320 mp3, please.

  28. If you haven't got it in lossless, you haven't really got it! Storage is much cheaper per Gb than it used to be. Download speeds are much faster than they once were.

    Make mine FLAC!!

  29. Almost all of what I have is MP3...there are some things if I DL in FLAC as that what is offered, I will keep that as well.
    Great Blog by the way...
    THANX

  30. I lack the quality audio system to take full advantage of flac files, so MP3 is fine by me.
